Positioning and media training for a newly-elected board of directors


What was involved?

There has been a change in the board of directors of a global Swiss company. It was envisaged that the newly-elected board of directors will also make individual public appearances. In this context, the client was looking for a partner to work out the topics and messages for personal positioning with the newly elected board member to prepare him for various public appearances.

 

How did we tackle the task together?

The topics and messages for communicative positioning were developed with the newly-elected board of directors and the corporate communications managers over several workshops. The aim was to develop a credible and authentic positioning within the framework of the company's strategic communication priorities. Both proactive topics and messages, as well as reactive positions on controversial topics raised by the media, were developed. In several practical media training sessions in front of the camera, performance skills were trained and consolidated. The main focus was on how to keep the conversation going even on controversial topics and in difficult interview situations.
